We want to keep you informed about a recent industry change that affects libraries nationwide, including most PALS Plus libraries.
Baker & Taylor, one of the main print book vendors for many libraries, has unexpectedly announced the closure of its wholesale operations.
For years, Baker & Taylor had been a trusted partner, helping libraries build strong collections and reliably get books into your hands on time. Their departure means libraries will need to adjust how new print materials are ordered.
Libraries are actively working to manage this transition and minimize any disruptions. That said, you may notice slight delays in the arrival of new releases or requested print titles in the coming weeks.
In the meantime, don’t forget about the wide range of digital offerings available through Libby and hoopla, including ebooks, audiobooks, and more, accessible anytime, anywhere.

The Passaic County Book Festival returns on Saturday, September 27, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM at Weasel Brook Park in Clifton, NJ! This free community celebration brings together readers, writers, and book lovers of all ages for a day filled with stories, inspiration, and fun.
Festival-goers can look forward to purchasing books directly from authors, author talks, panel discussions, poetry, and other activities that celebrate the joy of books.
